Historical re-enactment of the Napoleonic battle

The seventh edition of the historical re-enactment of the Napoleonic battle of Porcia was a success.
In fact, more than 3,500 people were found yesterday morning at the edge of the park of Villa Correr Dolfin to witness, as in a large arena on the ground, the re-enactment of the battle of Russia in 1812 staged by over 200 “reenectrors” , reenactors in military clothes of the time arrived from all over Europe.Troops on horseback, cannons, trench: nothing was missing yesterday in Porcia to recreate with fidelity of details and strategy what happened in the Russian campaign that, 200 years ago, represented for the French emperor a decisive defeat.
Direct, action after action, from the voice of the speaker, for about two hours the show has fascinated adults and children: dedicated in an exceptional way to the memory of an Italian reenector, already in the past among the protagonists of the re-enactment of Porcia, which recently and prematurely failed.”We are satisfied – commented at the end of the three days of events the president of Pro Porcia, Giuseppe Gaiarin -: this edition was a success in all its parts, not only the highlight of the re-enactment, but also the exhibitions, debates and the presentation of the book dedicated to the battle, the exhibition of static modeling ยป.
It was, moreover, blessed by the good weather that brought some thousands of people to the villa between Saturday and Sunday.Nothing to report finally even as regards public safety and traffic. “Everything was done in the best way – the local police commander, Luciano Sanson reported -, thanks also to the groups of volunteers who have lent his precious work this weekend”. Employed in particular yesterday morning to ensure public safety during the battle over the men of the station of the Carabinieri of Fontanafredda coordinated by the Roman commanded, there were also half of Porcia’s vigilant body and about thirty volunteers from the Civil Protection and the group for municipal security.
This is an event that is among the flagships of the event book of the city of Porcia, thanks to the direction of the Pro loco and the work of its volunteers, as well as the valuable collaboration of the Association of Napoleonic Studies May 26, 1805 San Vito al Tagliamento for the historical part, of the Photographic Club the Porcia Window for the images and the exhibition, of the Asso di Picche di Pordenone association that took care of the model-exhibition contest and finally of the local company Passe-Partout theater that with the group Quartoincomodo animated the Saturday evening.
