CORIANO – On the day when Marco Simoncelli was 32 years old, the Sic country, a house for the disabled, was inaugurated in Sant’Andrea in Besanigo, part of Coriano. The project was realized thanks to donations and collections of events, organized by the Foundation that bears his name, dedicated to the unlucky pilot after his death on October 28, 2011 in Sepang. To cut the ribbon of the structure were Kate Fretti, who was the girlfriend of Marco Simoncelli and father Paolo Simoncelli.
STRUCTURE ON THREE PLANS – The cost of realization amounts to 2.2 million euros. The building is on three floors and spread over a total area of 1,700 square meters. Casa Simoncelli includes two rehabilitation pools, a gym, a playground, five rooms to accommodate family members, a multi-purpose hall and ample parking.
